About Hovertale
Short, sourced stories about flight and travel, plus the practical questions to ask before you book an experience.
Why the name
“Hover” for the thing that happens when a helicopter holds still above a street, and “tale” for what people tell afterwards. The first story we published was about why money falling from a helicopter always makes the news, because the part that interested us was never the money itself. It was how long the moment stayed in people’s memories.
Who publishes it
Hovertale is published by Fandango Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10151334) with its registered office in Chichester, West Sussex. Full details are on our company information page, and you can verify them on the public register at Companies House.
What we do and do not do
- Prices, dates and limits we quote come from the seller’s own listing, checked before publishing and again whenever we revisit a page.
- We use the word “illustrative” under any image created for an article rather than photographed at the event it discusses.
- We write about experiences, not about financial products, and we do not give safety, medical or legal advice.
- We do not run the flights we mention. If you buy one, the contract is between you and the seller.
How the site is paid for
Some links on Hovertale go to an experience-gift seller through an affiliate arrangement. If you buy through one of those links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Those links are marked with a disclosure beside them and carry rel="sponsored". The commission does not change what we write about a seller’s terms, and where a listing is unclear we say so.
